Azerbaijani-Iranian relations are at a high level.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, chairman of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Assistance, Mr. Ali Hasanov met with the special representative of the minister of health of Iran Islamic Republic, delegation led by the Rector of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences Mahammadhuseyn Somin on April 16. In the meeting Ali Hasanov spoke about the development of the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran. It was stated that conduct of high-level meetings is an obvious indicator of the dynamic development of the relations. It was brought to the attention that our deep-rooted relations have developed after the great leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to power. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who worthily continues the policy of the national Leader, successfully develops the relations between the two countries. The last visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Iran once again showed that the relations were at the highest level. Azerbaijan and Iran are friendly and brother countries and good neighbors. Deputy Prime Minister noted that this day the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts are the most painful and sole problem of our nation. He stated that no pressure given to the invader Armenia by the countries of the world was injustice against Azerbaijan. Chairman of the Committee has noted that the Azerbaijani people preserved their customs and traditions, religion and language though this country was part of the Soviet empire within 70 year. Azerbaijan rapidly develops in all fields, modernizes, and does not lag behind the development in the world. The foundation of this development was laid by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues this political course. Azerbaijan, pursuing an independent foreign policy, gives special importance to friendly relations with the world countries and cooperates with most countries. Ali Hasanov highly appreciated the works done in Azerbaijan by Iran’s Imdad Committee and expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian activities. Mahammadhuseyn Somi noted that Azerbaijani-Iranian relations were at high level. The guest underlined the great services of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of relations between the two countries. He was confident that the last meeting held between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Iran Hasan Ruhani would give a great impetus to the further development of relations. M.Somi emphasized that the purpose of visiting Azerbaijan was strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in health field. He stressed the importance of exchange of experience between the two countries in the field of health. In the end, the guests were presented the book “President’s care for refugees and internally displaced persons” and disc reflecting the ethnic cleansing policy committed by Armenia against Azerbaijanis and grave consequences of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenian armed force.
