The future cooperation relations on IDPs were discussed with Korean diplomats

Deputy Prime Minister, the chairman of the State Committee for Deals of Refugees and IDPs, chairman of Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Mr. Ali Hasanov received Choi Suk Ini, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 22. During the meeting, mainly dedicated to the discussion of future cooperation relations on IDPs, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov emphasized the well-established mutual relations between Korea and Azerbaijan and mentioned the expansion of cooperation relations especially in political, economic, cultural, education spheres in recent times and expressed his confidence in further conduction and development of intergovernmental relationship. Ali Hasanov emphasized that Azerbaijan confronted severe problems such as Azerbaijan-Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh conflicts after acquisition of independence, mentioned the lack of any improvement in the solution of problems, expressed his regret for non-use of effect and pressure by world community and powerful nations against invader Armenia, ignorance of restoration of truth and justice as well as stated that one million 200 thousand Azerbaijanis suffered from all these mentioned. He mentioned that the economic progress of our country in recent years allowed Azerbaijan to undertake the solution of problems of such class citizens. $ 5,4 billion has been spent for this sphere over the past 20 years. 82 modern settlements were established together with the whole socio-technical infrastructure, social conditions of more than 180 thousand refugees and IDPs were improved by means of State Oil Fund. However, IDPs of our country live in the severe conditions at present as the conflict has not been solved yet. Expressing his gratitude for warm welcome and comprehensive information Korean diplomat noted his meeting with IDPs settled at Aghjabadi region in the previous year, his familiarity with the modern settlements, all necessary conditions created there and stated that the measures assumed in this sphere by Azerbaijan created a feeling of satisfaction. Despite all these, ambassador Choi Suk In mentioned that they had decided to realize projects such as conduction of different contests in schools for IDPs, awarding them with a view to make a contribution in the embassy as much as possible as well as they came to agreement about the mentioned with Korean companies operating in Azerbaijan. Education, sharing of experience between Azerbaijani and Korean students and other interest arousing issues were discussed in the meeting as well.
