A meeting with IDPs was held in Yasamal district

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs, Mr. Ali Hasanov, in accordance with the Schedule of the reception of citizens of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers received IDPs settled in this and as well as in other districts in the administrative building of Yasamal District Executive Power on July 1. The appeals of IDPs were listened, their applications and complaints were reviewed and instructions for solving their problems were given at the reception. More than 23 thousand refugees and IDPs being our compatriots displaced from their homelands as a result of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict live in Yasamal district of Baku city. This means a total of 6 thousand families. They mainly settled in dormitories and public buildings in the territory of the district. At the reception Ali Hasanov stated that President Ilham Aliyev pays enough attention and care to the refugees and IDPs displaced from their homelands as a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and makes consecutive decisions towards solving their problems. The housing and living conditions of IDPs are gradually being improved. For our compatriots of this kind 82 modern settlements and residential complexes with all the social and technical infrastructure have been built in Baku and other regions of our country up to now, housing and living conditions of 180 thousand refugees and IDPs have been improved. Merely in 2013, more than 20 thousand IDPs have been moved into new homes. However, IDPs living in difficult conditions still remain. Their number is more than 300 thousand people merely in Baku. The housing and living conditions of these compatriots will be gradually improved as well. Referring to the resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Ali Hasanov expressed his confidence that this problem will also be solved soon with the commitment of President Ilham Aliyev. The Deputy Prime Minister again carefully listened to the problems of the IDPs attending the reception. A number of problems have been resolved promptly on the spot and some appeals have been recorded for their consideration, investigation and implementation of appropriate measures. IDP from Zangilan, Salbinaz Farmanova said: "I also gave information about my problem at the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov's meeting with IDPs. Ali Hasanov listened to my problem and gave instructions on the spot referring to their solution. We express our gratitude to Mr. President for such a transparency, as he creates such conditions for IDPs and provides the necessary assistance to them." IDP from Kalbajar Soltan Nabiyev said that the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev has done great work for our people. The head of our state has always been paying special attention to the problems of IDPs. All the conditions have been created for their better living. S. Nabiyev stated that the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov gave the necessary instructions regarding the solution of the problems of IDPs at the reception held today.
