Future cooperation relations on IDPs were discussed with Korean diplomat

The Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, the chairman of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, chairman of Republican Committee on Humanitarian Aid, Mr. Ali Hasanov had a visit from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Choi Suk Inn in December 25. Emphasizing the mutual relations between Korea and Azerbaijan established on solid foundation in the meeting essentially dedicated to the discussion of the future cooperation relations on refugees and IDPs, the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov noted the expansion of these relations especially on political, economic, cultural, education spheres in the last years and expressed his confidence on further development of inter-government relations. Ali Hasanov noted that, continuing to occupy the Azerbaijani lands, aggressive Armenia achieved nothing. For this period, the economy of Armenia appeared in even more difficult situation. For the last years, the Armenian people benefited nothing from the conflict, on the contrary, a lot of things lost. Azerbaijan after restoration of its independence has built a democratic, constitutional state. Today Azerbaijan is open for the world, it is the most tolerant country. Representatives of all nationalities, religions live here as one family, in the conditions of peace and tranquility. Churches and synagogues function in Baku. Over the last ten years, the country has held two interreligious international conferences. Religious leaders almost from 160 countries participated in these events. Despite occupation of its lands, Azerbaijan is the most stable, safe country on the CIS space. Stating that our country faced the serious problem such as Armenia-Azerbaijan, Daghligh Garabagh conflict upon gaining independence, no progress was achieved on the solution of the problem, Ali Hasanov noted that world community didn’t use the opportunities of influence and pressure of the leading countries against invader Armenia, expressed his regret on the world community ignoring the restoration of rights and justice and mentioned that one million 200 thousand people suffered from these. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that 89 modern blocks with the whole socio-technological infrastructure had been settled, living conditions of 240 thousand refugees and IDPs had been improved at the expense of the State Oil Fund up to the present. However, as the fair solution on the conflict has not been achieved, most of our IDPs live under severe conditions now. Expressing his gratitude for warm welcome and overall information Korean diplomat noted his meeting with IDPs settled in Aghjabadi region in the last year, Yevlakh, Ganja and Mingachevir cities this year, realization of different projects on awarding IDPs at IDP schools in 3 regions, extensive acquaintance with modern blocks, conditions created there which caused the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Mr. Ilham Aliyev to feel deep satisfaction on the works carried out regarding IDPs. Despite all the mentioned, the ambassador Choi Suk Inn stated that they had decided in the embassy headed by the ambassador to realize the new different projects with a view to provide assistance in the solution of the problems of IDPs, reached an agreement on these issues with Korean companies operating in Azerbaijan. Speaking about economic relations between our countries the ambassador expressed his confidence on the development of these relations on growing line in future years as well. The discussions were held on the education of Azerbaijani and Korean students, exchange of experience and other issues of interest in the meeting.
